Start, schedule or join a Live Meeting using Office Live Meeting Web Access

The Web-based Office Live Meeting client is an alternative for users of the Office Live Meeting service who cannot install or run the Windows-based meeting client, usually because their computer runs an operating system that is not compatible with the Windows-based meeting client, such as Microsoft® Windows® 98, Sun® Solaris™, or Apple® Macintosh®.

The Web-based meeting client does not require installation of any files; it runs as a Java applet in the user's Web browser which also allows non-Windows operating systems such as Linux and Macs to now be able to access and use Live Meeting.

Microsoft Office Live Meeting Web Access Software Requirements

Before you use Office Live Meeting Web Access, you must make sure that:

• All pop-up blockers are turned off, both within your browser and in any other Web-based applications running on your computer.
• If your network uses a proxy server, your browser is configured to either identify the proxy or bypass it.

Start, schedule or join a Live Meeting using Office Live Meeting Web Access

You can log on to Office Live Meeting Web Access in two ways:

• from the Live Meeting console
• from the Live Meeting link in the meeting invitation

NOTE: The Office Live Meeting Web Access option is offered to you only if the Windows-based client is not installed on your computer.

To log on and join from the Live Meeting console

Step 1:  Go to the Live Meeting URL on your wallet card or from your welcome email.

Step 2:  Click My Home on the upper left side of the page.

Step 3:  Enter your user login and password, and click Login.

Step 4:  On the My Home page, do one of the following:

• Under Meet, click Join Meeting.
• Under Upcoming Meetings, click the meeting subject. On the Meeting Details page, under Actions, click Join As Presenter.

Step 5:  On the Install Microsoft Office Live Meeting client or use Microsoft Office Live Meeting Web Access page, under Use Live Meeting Web Access (fastest), click Accept and Use. You will only be asked to do this step once - next time you join a meeting you will be taken directly to the Join Meeting window.

Step 6:  On the Join Meeting page, enter the Meeting ID and Entry Code (if required).

Step 7:  Click Join Meeting.

To log on and join from a Live Meeting invitation

Step 1:  In the invitation, click Join the Meeting.

Step 2:  On the Install Microsoft Office Live Meeting client or use Microsoft Office Live Meeting Web Access page, under Use Live Meeting Web Access (fastest), click Accept and Use. You will only be asked to do this step once - next time you join a meeting you will be taken directly to the Join Meeting window.

Step 3:  In the Join Meeting window, type your name as you want it to appear to the other participants, and then click Join Meeting.

Step 4:  If your browser asks you to trust the signed applet from Microsoft, click Yes.

Office Live Meeting Web Access appears in its own browser window. The Meeting Entry page remains open in the background. Keep this window open in case you are disconnected from the meeting and need to re-enter it.

After logging in to a meeting as a presenter, you can import any content (slides, documents, diagrams, or other files) that you have prepared for presentation.
